On Punching Nazis

This is no doubt a bit of playful irony reminding us that Nazis were defeated not through dialogue but through physical violence. True enough.

But how many of you are armed? How many of you want to be? I think the debate about whether or not we should be punching Nazis is moot. The better question, the real question, is whether you can win a fight on those terms. Neo-Nazi and other far right groups have weapons, para-military organization and training, and an intense desire to use them both.

I honestly don't give a shit if punching a Nazi is a more moral act than talking to one. I want to know if you've thought about what happens when they punch back. And then what happens after that.
